The Let’s Go-Go Program at DCPS provides students with an immersive experience in the vibrant cultural heritage of Go-Go music. Through teaching artist residencies and participation in a rehearsing band, students engage in hands-on learning, exploring the genre’s history, musical elements, and cultural significance. This exciting program is made possible in partnership with Washington Performing Arts, the Innovative School of Performing Arts, and Monumental Sports. In its inaugural year, our students had the incredible opportunity to perform during the halftime show of the Capital City Go-Go game, showcasing their newfound skills and appreciation for this uniquely DC sound. This year’s event will take place on March 28th & 29th, 2025.
